About the Owner
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Hill. I am the Owner-Operator and Director of Quality Control for The Family Trades, LLC. I began my career in the roofing industry on August 12, 2020 with Blue Hammer Roofing. I started in Sales, and immediately saw the need for a dedicated Quality Control Manager for each and every roof install. I pitched the idea to one of the Partners of Blue Hammer, Nehal Kaiser, who simply said, “Run with it.” I scheduled a meeting with another Partner, Freddy Murphy, to go over the standard operating procedures we currently had, and the new SOPs we were going to implement. On September 3, 2020 we were on a new trajectory! I owe so much to those two for trusting me to run each project as I saw fit. The Sales Team did what they did best, while I worked with the Crews to be at maximum effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring every Homeowner received the product & service they deserved. I was blessed to find my calling. Just over two years later, I was recruited by other companies, and decided to join TDJ Contractors in March of 2023. With the experience of installing 388 roofs in three different markets (DFW, Austin, and Indianapolis), I applied what I learned as I transitioned into Sales. Thank you to Derek Steiner and Payton Gregory for giving me a spot on the team. After one year with TDJ, I was again recruited by other companies for Sales and Director of Production. I joined up with a small local contractor in DFW, but unfortunately that partnership did not work out the way we both intended. It was at that time that I decided to go out on my own, continuing to work with the Crews I had been alongside for four years. I took it slow in my first year to adjust to running a business without sacrificing quality workmanship and customer service. I added new trades to my services to help more homeowners with various projects. And now, here we are! Couldn’t have done this without the support of so many! Thank you! It’s amazing what you can achieve if you DON’T GIVE UP!
